Dedicated exclusively to the world of dinosaurs
This summer we took a trip to Chicago and visited friends who live further south in Kentucky. When we heard about this theme park devoted to dinosaurs, we knew it was our moral obligation to visit, since our six year old had long since decided that he wants to be a paleontologist. Since the park was above Mamoth Road Caves, one of the main attractions of the state, we took the trip (Cave City is south of Kentucky, near the Tennessee border) to visit both. Dinosaur World is a small park dedicated exclusively to the world of dinosaurs. Although it has a small museum and a well stocked gift shop, it is intended primarily for children.
The most important part is a fairly wide path through the forest where they discover scale figures of dinosaurs. Although not perfect, some look quite the trick and the kids went crazy. Then there was the usual playground, an area to dig and find fossils and a picnic area for those who want to spend the day on campus (we opted for Pizza Hutt). The visit went well, but the adults get bored. My son, however, enjoyed it to the fullest. I recommend a visit if you're passing through the area. As an amusement park it's very limited, although it seems that dinosaurs are holy hand to entertain the kids.
