Descindimento Chapel

At the foot of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, in the Terreiro de Moisés, is another chapel that's part of the Cross of Mount Espinho. It's hexagonal and the inside walls are painted with frescoes (though in poor condition). Cobija statues depict the Christ's Descent from the Cross (when deceased), accompanied by several figures such as Joseph of Arimathea, the Virgin and Mary Magdalene.
