1 review of De Agdz Campsite

    De Agdz Campsite

The campsite is in the green valley of date palms that goes to Zagora, the gateway to the Sahara. Agdz is a city populated by friendly Bedouins, who between trips in the desert abandon their nomadic life slightly to engage in tourism, and can help you organize unforgettable desert walks, by camel or vehicle. The campsite is run by Said, a Bedouin boy, who knows the dunes like the back of his hand. It has a small gift shop in downtown Agdz too. There are two options on the site, put up your tent or stay under a huge Bedouin tent, with other guests, and your sleeping bag. In general, you get several more blankets because the nights are quite cool.

Prices are 3 euros or so per person, per night, and you can order your dinner, to eat in the store or at the campfire. Desert cuisine is very different from traditional Moroccan cuisine, is poorer in terms of food, but thanks to the caravans that bring species, it is very tasty.
