Das Pocas Municipal Pools

Located in Ribeira Grande, in the north of the island of Sao Miguel, we find the "Das Few Municipais Pools". The location is great for the residents and tourists to enjoy this town. There are two things that particularly stand out about these pools. The first is its excellent location overlooking the sea, just next to the beach of Ribeira Grande. The second is that these pools are washed with sea water turning them into natural pools. Throughout the island there are many salt water swimming pools, of which the vast majority are completely natural rock formations that take advantage of natural sea water with an added filter to remove the wastewater.
