A fascinating site
The characteristic flavor of Plougastel is their famous strawberries. They grow in this beautiful corner of the Bay of Brest, next to the magnificent Calvary chapels and Daoulas Abbey. This former monastery had its glory during the ages of the Order of St. Augustine. Today, this parish church still retains all the charm of the High Middle Ages and a twelfth-century Roman clergy classified it as a historical monument.
Breaking prototypes, everyone thinks that the Breton were always dressed in dark colors. This fact is true and false at the same time. Although the traditional dress to be worn during the week was black, the holidays proved to be a delight of mixed bright colors: a purple skirt, a green apron, and a blue and orange vest.
