Daley Plaza
If there is a place in Chicago that can be considered the center of town, it is definitely the Daley Plaza. It houses City Hall and also a large convention center (Richard J. Daley Center), various historical skyscrapers (like the First United Methodist Church) and two major works of contemporary Spanish artists (Picasso and Miró). The square also exhibits a large fountain with jets and an eternal flame in memory of those killed in recent wars. Being in the heart of the Loop, Chicago's business district, it is quite quiet in low season and during holidays.
