A landmark in the area
Dadeland was an important part of my childhood in Miami. Not far from where we lived, near Coral Reef and Kendall, Dadeland was a commercial landmark in the area, and perhaps the first mall I ever went to, so of course I had to visit it when I came back for a holiday. My parents liked to go shopping here. There's a food court, and Mama was always fascinated by JC Penny and Burdines. When I returned, I was sad to see that Dadeland has fallen behind nowadays, but is being renovated to keep up with its competitors. It remains a landmark in the area, but it's not the best place to go shopping anymore.
