Cyclades Islands
These are most beautiful islands of Greece, they may say, but these two- hundred small islands in the Aegean Sea heart represent the unique world of the Greek islands better that than none. It's the best place in the country to enjoy Greece's unique light, whitewashed houses, unpolluted sea and small blue domed chapels. Personally I think that is one of the most amazing tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, even when taking into account that the prodigious island of Santorini is part of the archipelago. There are several ways to visit the Cyclades. You can, for example, fly to the main islands like Santorini or Mykonos.
You can also visit by organised cruise, which stop daily on each island. However, the option I recommend, no doubt, is visiting them at your leisure, using the impressive ferry service they have in Greece. It is very economical (more or less the same as traveling by bus) and the short distances between the islands make this an absolutely pleasant and liberating visit . Some of my favourite islands are Mykonos, Folegrandros, Milos, Sifnosand and of course the incomparable Santorini. This is an authentic Mediterranean paradise.
