Inside is a little more beautiful than outside

When Broad Street rises after the Priory Church, the most important building of Puerto Real can be seen at close range. In stark contrast to the Baroque and plateresca Priory, the exterior is ugly, It's called neoclassical, but it has a basic problem as it's very high, which breaks the classic proportions. It was a temple built by the Brotherhood of Carpenters, an essential industry of the day for trading ships. In 1794 construction finished and it received the name of Church of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. It stood for many years until it closed in 1992 and was restored for use as a cultural center.

It is open plan, which is typical of Puerto Real temples, with 3 naves, a central barrel vault and lateral vaults, the transept dome has scallops. Inside is a little more beautiful than outside, with Tuscan pilasters and altarpieces of marble or stucco. Activities are performed inside but it lacks parking, as it is directly on the very narrow Calle Real it's impossible even stop for a moment at the entrance (unless there's no traffic).
