Es Cubells

Cubells es un pueblecito con algo menos de 400 habitantes. A mi personalmente me encantan los pueblos tan menudos.., éste lo encontré de camino a los pirineos. A unos 60 km. al nor-este de Lérida capital. Quería parar a tomar un café y me encontré con un restaurante de carretera, de los que están llenos de camioneros y decidí parar. Justo enfrente del restaurante hay senales que indican Cubells in dirección "hacia arriba". Sí, Cubells está arriba del todo, desde la carretera casi ni se ve. Me dijeron en el restaurante, los camareros, que el pueblito no tenía nada, ni bares, ni comercios, ni asfalto, ni nada; y me dije, "..perfecto justo lo que busco!" Me llevé el bocata y una cola y me fui a almorzar a este y menudo pueblo. Un precioso alto en el camino...

Cubells is a small village with just under 400. I personally love the people so tiny .., I found it way to the Pyrenees. At about 60 km. north-east of Lleida capital. I wanted to stop for a coffee and I came across a roadside restaurant, of which are full of truckers and decided to stop. Directly in front of the restaurant there signs that indicate Cubells in direction of "up". Yes, Cubells is the top, from the road barely see. I was told by the restaurant, the waiters, the town had nothing, no bars, no shops, no asphalt, no nothing, and I said, ".. Perfect just what I'm looking for!" I took the sandwich and a tail and went to lunch at this and often people. A beautiful stop along the way ...

J'arrive sur la côte ouest de l'île, à Es Cubells, par une route sinueuse qui laisse entrevoir de belles échappées sur la Méditerrannée. Un petite église, un bar-resto à côté et quelques maisons composent ce petit village. La vue sur la mer et les falaises est prodigieuse. A quelques kilomètres, la Cala d'Hort offre une crique de rêve avec une plage de sable et de gravier. Mais c'est drôlement galère pour se garer, et on a intérêt à être un champion du démarrage en côte pour sortir de son emplacement (si on en trouve un, bien sûr). Au loin, on aperçoit le titanesque rocher d'Es Vedra, haut de 380 mètres. Ce lieu est entouré de légendes plus ou moins liées au paranormal: les oiseaux perdraient leur sens de l'orientation en le survolant, et il serait lié à des histoires d'ovnis...

I arrive on the west coast of the island, Cubells by a winding road that suggests great vistas over the Mediterranean. A small church, a bar-restaurant next door and a few houses up this small village. The view of the sea and the cliffs is prodigious. A few kilometers away, Cala d'Hort offers a creek dream with a beach of sand and gravel. But it's awfully hard time to park, and it had better be a champion hill start to pull it out (if you find one, of course). In the distance you can see the gigantic rock of Es Vedra, 380 meters high. This place is surrounded by legends more or less related to the paranormal: the birds lose their sense of direction by hovering, and it would be linked to UFO stories ...

Agradable pueblito ibicenco ajeno al circuito de música y fiestas de la isla. Preciosas vistas desde el mirador que hay justo detrás de su iglesia. No te las pierdas.

Nice alien to Ibiza town and holiday music circuit of the island. Beautiful views from the lookout there just behind the church. Do not miss them.

Nada mas llegar encuentras un pequeño pueblecito todo blanco en el qual hay 2 restaurantes y una iglesia junto un pequeño monumento, que ja os he adjuntado una fotografia. Si Bajas las escaleras que hay por detras dela iglesia a mano izquierda encuetras una biblioteca y a mando derecha unas escaleras donde te llevan a un mirador. La sorpresa fue cuando llegamos al mirador, era horrendo estava totalmente dejado con una hierbas que eran mas altas que nosotros, por eso continuamos bajando aun mas las escaleras hasta que llegamos a una carretera donde se podia ver una gran vista del mar.

The surprise was when we got to the lookout, was horrendous estava totally left with herbs that were higher than us, so we continued down even more stairs until we reached a road where you could see a great view of the sea.
