Gorgonita
Cross
Halfway between Plaza de Almada and the Museum of Ethnography and History, is this little square named after the poet Eca de Queiroz. In the middle of the street, as if it were a roundabout, is this stone cross. It has a very simple form but is still cared for - a lady was putting on flowers on it and cleaning. In front is a nineteenth century fountain covered with tiles.
