Quai des Tourelles Cruise Terminal

Fort de France is the capital of Martinique, and its port is the main port of entry to the island, both for tourists, who usually arrive on the huge cruise ships, and the commercial ships. The cruise terminal is located about 15 minutes from the city centre, and has a point of tourist information and reception, an office of customs control, and a small mall with duty free shops called "The Sea Explorer". There is also a taxi rank and several tour operators offering trips and tours to explore the island. Across the dock there is a marina for yachts and sailboats.
