Quartz Fountain
At the end of the road connecting the Bahariya oasis to Cairo in Egypt, just one kilometre between the Black Desert and the White Desert, there is a small mound exclusively of quartz emerges from the ground. It's most unusual to find this formation of pure quartz among the basalt stones (further south), sand, and plaster (in the north). And yet, it's the only one in the area. It forms a strange sculpture that has two arcs. It's usually a short stop on tours to/from Bahariya.
