Crider's Rodeo & Dance Hall

Rodeo is an extreme sport and one of the most popular activities in Texas. In the tests both horses and bulls are used, but unlike bullfighting in Spain, the animals don't die after each event. There are many variations in the rodeo, the most popular is riding wild horses or bulls. It's very simple: mount the animal - encased in a pen- once the door is opened you need to stay on the bull for 8 seconds, holding on one handed. It's a test of skill, physical strength and agility, very fun to watch though and luckily for the cowboys, brief. In Crider's start with the children's tests: they have to stay on a sheep for 8 seconds that shoots out of the pen when they open the door.
