Erice high street

Excellent

Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the main street in Erice, with lots of Baroque houses and palaces, pottery shops and tempting patisseries. It was the old Via Regia. The street starts at the Trapani gate and goes up the hill to the lively Plaza Umberto I, renovated in the nineteenth century where there's now the Town Hall and Cordici Museum. This street as well as others in Erice keep their medieval characters, with their walls, cobblestone paving, stone houses with decorated balconies, etc..
