Delicious seafood
On the way to Coromandel from Thames, there is a small shop where you can taste seafood and, in particular, the oysters grown by this company. Exquisite and cheap, a dozen large oysters costs about thirteen dollars or about 7 pennies. You can eat them there or take them to go. Coromandel is known for its seafood and especially oysters, mussels, scallops and lobster. There´s also a seafood feast in August that we´re definitely going to.
