Convent of the Carmelites

Nada más entrar a Gea por el desvío de la carretera, tenemos a nuestros pies la gran acequia ganada por el hombre al Guadalaviar para riego de la huerta, con su pequeña noria para abrevadero. A continuación una de las zonas de recreo del pueblo, con su fuente, junto a la ermita de San Roque, recientemente restaurada, y luego veréis el grandioso Convento de los Carmelitas Descalzos (en restauración) junto a la Plaza del Carmen que aún conserva el ruedo metálico instalado para las novilladas de las fiestas . En la misma manzana y junto a la puerta de la iglesia del ex convento del Carmen, veréis la puerta abierta que permite acceder al Hogar del Jubilado y al Teleclub con bar, sorprendente ver las instalaciones en su interior cuando la fachada parece estar a punto de caerse.
