Historic Ensemble of Combarro
Six kilometers from Pontevedra, Combarro is one of the most beautiful villages in the Rias Baixas. In 1972 it was named a historic, artistic and picturesque site, meaning that the year of 2012 marks forty years of its prominence. It has wonderful seaside views, stone crosses that dot the village, seaside houses and many restaurants and churches of the parish of San Roque, patron of the town today. Built directly on granite, Combarro maintains the essence of Galician architecture, preserved thanks to its location at the end of the Ria de Pontevedra, which has allowed it to stay mainly in tact.
