radiates all that tranquility and wisdom of ancient China
Confucius Temple (大 龙 峒 保安 宫) of Taipei, is one of the places that I enjoyed most during my visit to Taiwan, not only because of its colorful roofs, guarded by Phoenix and dragons, its ornate columns and extensive patios, but also because of the place itself, which radiates all that tranquility and wisdom of ancient China. Although the first temple was built in Tainan Confuncionista (the former capital) its teachings soon spread throughout the whole island of Taiwan. It was during this expansion that they built this temple in Taipei. In this place, in addition to its wonderfully traditional architecture and rooms, you can enjoy several festivals (if you happen to be there on very specific dates) during which people dress in traditional costumes and carry out dances and processions.
