Excellent
A lost gem in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. When you think it's impossible to find a corner, you see this legacy of art and history that reminds us Barcino past, reminding us that there is a forgotten Barcelona, melancholic from his past, hidden and insolita. I think the depths of this place is its location. The remains of the temple are embedded within a renancentista palace currently is home to the Barcelona Hiking Centre. You have to look very, very curious and walk leisurely to not miss this part of the Roman heritage of the city. Only four columns which are still standing, but in itself, they alone, are a revelation. Admission is free and is reached by excursion center door so the schedule depends on this association. The effect produced on me was of melancholy to a glorious past that has been stuck in four walls. Barcino has many places like this. From my favorite spots in Barcelona for his humility, her sad beauty, because despite what little remains standing proud resists the passage of time.

This little corner of Barcelona is one of the least known of all the city, despite its historical importance and its originality. In short: They are the remains of the ancient Roman temple dedicated to Caesar Augustus in what was the forum of Barcino. But the funny thing is that they are not outdoors, but in the inner courtyard of a Renaissance palace. They are in a corner of the street Paradis, located just behind the apse of the cathedral, in a building that is now the seat of Centre Excursionista de Catalunya. The place that is I think it was the old laundry of the property. The fact is that the columns of the base and preserved, were literally swallowed by the building that was built around. Access is free and there are information panels explaining its eventful history as one of the most representative and less known past of Barcelona remains.

Imrio Roman remnants in the center of Barcelona

Recent arrival in Barcelona, one of my roommates took me to this corner, really hidden in Barcelona. When I met him, the courtyard from where you had no charm displays, today is conditioned to inform the visitor through the history panels and photographs. The place hits, knowing that lasted more hidden from the public for many decades and fortunately it was demolished to implement new work, which wraps off scale today such historic ruin.

The Temple of Augustus

Quite impressive with its green aura that envelops you whole, the Roman temple of Augustus erected in antiquity in honor of the emperor of the same name, is a strange place, full of history and art, located two no Sant Jaume Square in Barcelona. Free visit is quickly since it does not much left. The most interesting is the beautiful mosaic of small benches facing the columns and roof canopy which gives this special light instead.

Boa busca, Felipe Alves
For me one of those places in Barcelona, you can spend a long time searching, but it's still hard to find. But it is also the place with more historical weight, related to the time of Barcino (the Roman Barcelon). Is in the center of Barcelona hiker, and retains part of the Roman temple of Augustus. Another curiosity is that the front door you can see a shield, which marks the highest place of the Roman town, is interesting, and well worth seeing. Good looking, Felipe Alves
