The Colossus of Ramses II is the most amazing historical monument in Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. The huge statue is in great condition, except for the feet which have been lost over time. Ramses II was one of the most famous pharaohs for his work as a warrior and builder, and he appears in a handful of temples across Egypt.

Este coloso se encuentra dentro de un museo que tuvieron que construir para que no se deteriorara más. Porque debido a las inclemencias del tiempo y a que esta tumbado la parte que da al suelo esta en muy mal estado. Esta estatua en su origen tenia 13 metros de altura.
