Colonial Administrative Buildings
This was an old hospital that now houses the police headquarters and the administrative offices in the Galle portion of the fort. Most were built by the Dutch in the late eighteenth century. Galle was then a port of call and trade on the way to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. I like these old buildings, from the ground floor you can see the tiled roofs, and the architecture reminiscent of a village in South America or West Africa. While the form of colonization and the degree of independence that had very different country by country that colonized, the architecture was quite similar, and this will hopefully be able to preserve.
