A lovely place

"Good Morning Columbus!" Welcome to one of the most visited places in New York. Just steps from Central Park, at the southwest corner of the park, this roundabout is named after the explorer Christopher Columbus whose statue adorns the center. Surrounded by fountains which are illuminated at night, the statue contrasts nicely with the skyscrapers that surround it (the CNN building with its digital display giving you the time and temperature for example!).
