Coldingham
The village of Coldingham is located on the border of England and Scotland, on the east coast near Berwick-upon-Tweed. The village is famous for its bay and beach but in antiquity for being a very important religious settlement. Its major attractions have been mentioned but it must be mentioned that for a town this size it has a fascinating history. In the year 660 there is evidence of the existence of a kind of convent, defined as abbey in which a local queen joined the congregation. There is a description of one of the most important historians of England, Bede congregation defines as "the monastery of the Virgin" name that would be transferred to people over time.
