Coconut Bar is a stylish drinking spot and hangout squeezed between Malasaña's famous Calle Pez and Plaza de La Luna. Coconut stands out most of all for its decor and overall vibe: a florid mix of 1950's teals and pinks, tiki-inspired trinkets on every free surface, really good rock and doo-wop from the era, a pink and green neon sign straight out of Miami Vice, and a cavernous downstairs area that has one of the best atmospheres I've experienced in Madrid in a good while.
They serve the the typical mixed drinks and beer, but also have some kitschy cocktails like piña coladas and other tropical drinks, as well as some snacks and desserts.
All in all, it's a cool place to have a couple cocktails and good coversation for heading out for the night. Highly recommended!
