Taking the Buena Vista Road from the main square of the village of Comares, we found the charming village of Llano Almendra. The centre of the village is located around a Chapel. We walked around and came upon white farmhouses, well maintained and with beautiful gardens. By the Las Cuevas river there are many almond orchards. The Cave River borders the municipality, which is the largest and most important waterway. This river, passing through the lands of Comares, also receives the flow of the ravines and streams it finds in its path. We can also reach the hamlet Llano Almendra by the MA-159 (Riogordo-Benamargosa)
