A curious attraction

Cleopatra's Needle is one of the attractions that can be found inside Central Park. It is a pink granite obelisk, 21 meters high and weighing 224 tons. The most curious thing is that this "needle" has a twin in London, between the Thames and Victoria Park. Both come from the ancient Egyptian city of Heliopolis and date back to 1450 BC. They were then transported to the two most important Anglophone cities of the nineteenth century from Alexandria, where they were re-erected in 12 BC.
