Civic Museum of Marmo

Officially founded in the year 1982 Marmo Civic Museum, in Tyrolean , it was the brainchild of the Municipality of Carrara, made to document and value the culture of marble. The museum collection has over 310 samples of the most important marble, granite and ornamental stones in Italy, and the most important varieties of marble and granite at present. This museum is organized into 6 reas such as Roman archeology, history of the territory, industrial archeology, technical applications, plaster models and modern sculpture, among other things.
