Chiericati Palace, built and designed by Andrea Palladio in 1550, has been home to the Civic Museum of Vicenza since the mid-nineteenth century. The museum's collection includes works of art from the fourteenth to the late eighteenth century: Paolo Veneziano, Jacopo Bassano, Tintoretto, Bartolomeo Montagna, Sebastiano Ricci and Tiepolo. There's also a cabinet of 33 drawings by Andrea Palladio, the pride of the collection. In recent years, private donations have swelled the number of works on display, with a considerable body of contemporary art: works by Boldini, Carrà, De Pisis Zancanaro, Guidi, Picasso, Pissarro, Corot, Severini ...
