Museum in a historic site
The Civic Archaeological Museum is located in the very center of the historic city, in the Palazzo Galvani and along the Piazza Maggiore and near the church of San Petronio. The earliest part of the historical building dates from the fifteenth century, followed by changes and restructuring until 1881, when it opened to the public as the Museum. The museum is accessible by buses that are located in the impressive Piazza Maggiore.
