Trento City Walls

The only walls left standing within the city of Trento are located in Pizza Fiera in the historic centre. Their construction dates back to the thirteenth century, and they were commissioned by Bishop Vanga. The walls are crenellated, and part is also visible in the underground car park under the present Piazza Fiera; in the Middle Ages, street level was much lower than it is now.
