Churches of Chiloe

There are 16 churches that were declared World Heritage in 2000, spread over the different islands. What makes them unique in the world, is that they are completely built of wood (even the nails are wooden). The churches on the list of World Heritage are: Achao Aldachildo, Caguach, Castro, Shilling, Chonchi, Colo., Dalcahue Detif, Ichuac, Nercón, Quinchao Rilán, San Juan, Tenaún and Vilupulli.
