Clock tower visible from all over Karlovac
Someone must have thought that the best way of making the Karlovac catholic church more visible and well-known was to build it in the very center of Karlovac, and make it stand above all the other buildings. Well, they nailed it because if you walk through the center of Karlovac you'll see that this baroque church's clock tower, built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, looms on all sides, above all the other houses in the old city. Built in the city's central square, is a large Catholic church, the pale yellow facade draws attention (which well could use a paint job) quite the opposite of the color and elegance of the clock tower, which seems to shine out.
The curious thing about the church is its omnipresence, because even if you try to get away from the area or go around the block, you will always see the imposing clock tower. The church is known in Croat as 'Sveta Trojstva', and is the largest Catholic church in the city, while nearby is the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, although it is smaller.
