Church of San Vicente, the only one with octagonal shape and triple top
It is definitely worth making a stop in this tiny town, the birthplace of Ravel, facing St Jean de Luz. The church is precious. It has inside of it the typical wooden gallery, common in French Basque churches, which were designed for men attending Mass, while women had to listen at the bottom. From the top of the ceiling there is a boat, typical of the churches by the ocean, asking for protection for their sailors. On the outside of the church there is a tiny roof, under which public bathrooms are very clean. Its bell tower is visible from many points of this town and is notable for its octagonal shape and triple top, the only one like this in the Basque Country.
