A Place for Distinguished Figures
I end my journey through Las Letras neighborhood in this place, because you can’t go in until the afternoon. Since I began in Atocha Street, I close the circle in the place where I started my walk along one of the city’s most fascinating areas.
The sensation produced by this church is a curious one. The signs on the façade (I don’t know if they serve as a touristic lure or to catch the attention of curious tourists such as myself) tell us that we are before a building that was declared Historic-Artistic Grouping. Once you go in you can’t really understand why, until you realize that the title has to do with the importance the place has from a historic point of view, since here we can find one of the most important archives of Villa y Corte, and not so much for the building itself.
