Church of San Roman de Escalante
Although at first glance itlooks like a small and humble chapel, it is actually one of the most valuable treasures of Escalante, being a Romanesque work (the only one along with Santa Maria Romanesque Bareyo coastal). The enormous wealth of sculptures places it amongst the most prominent in the region. It is believed to that it was built in the twelfth century.
