Tribute to a hero of Scotland
The church in memory of King Robert I (or Robert the Brus) was built almost two hundred years ago. It was built in the place where the battle that was planned to return Scotland to an independent nation was supposed to take place. Today it is the main attraction of the town and the heart of it is in full operation. It is not only for religious events, but secular events of a similar nature as well. This small church serves as a reminder that the castle and Wallace Monument in Stirling aren't everything. Although it is small, it commemorates the greatness of the Scottish.
