As we left for Stirling, towards Loch Lomond near Doune, in the middle of the field we found this church which, despite being so remote, is in full operation under the leadership of the Church of Scotland. If we review the history, from ancient times (XIII century) there are documents that reference the time before the church building that remains today (XVIII century) that had the same name. Historically, this church was located in the territory of the Earls of Menteith, a very religious family that often made donations to monasteries in the area in search of eternal salvation. These monasteries were Inchmahome, Inchaffray and Cambuskenneth, which suggests that this church could be under the control of the abbot of Inchmahome Priory (on an island in Lake Menteith).
