San Roque was the protector against the plague, and so close to the church there's a cemetery. The church's interior is quite interesting (although nothing new compared to other churches in the city) with lapis lazuli columns, a shrine to San Roque and a chapel to San Juan Bautista. Next to the church is the Museum of San Roque.
