Chiloe

La Isla de Chiloé pertenece a la Región de Los Lagos, para acceder a ella hay que hacerlo en un transbordador (ferry) que sale de la localidad de Pargua y se cruza el canal de Chacao. Este cruce es inolvidable, si tienen suerte verán lobos marinos y toninas (especie de delfines pequeños), y dura alrededor de 30 minutos (si la marea está tranquila), donde pueden bajarse de su auto y ver el paisaje. Luego llegan a la llamada isla grande, ya que está formada, además de ella, por 40 islas a su alrrededor. El primer poblado es Chacao, luego viene Ancud, Castro (capital) y Quellón (comunas más importantes en población, pero hay múltiples pueblos en toda la isla). Se dice que Chiloé es una isla mágica (así lo creo, te atrae de una manera misteriosa e inexplicable... o tal vez si lo es): tiene muchas tradiciones, historias y costumbres propias (como las mingas, que es un trabajo comunitario muy especial...sólo diré eso), tiene seres mitológicos como la pincoya (especie de sirena que atrae marinos y se los lleva), trauco (enano que encanta y embaraza a las mujeres) o el caleuche (barco que se perdió en el mar y aparece como un fantasma), tiene iglesias que son patrimonio de la humanidad (total 16, que son completamente de madera al igual que sus imágenes de santos), sus típicos palafitos, además, es muy rica en flora y fauna (pinguinos, lobos marinos, cisnes, flamencos, entre otros). Viví allá (Castro) poco más de dos años y es mi lugar preferido de Chile. Su naturaleza es muy abundante, su gente amable, su comida rica (típica de allá como los curantos en hoyo (en la tierra), su variedad de mariscos, asado de cordero, milcaos, chapaleles, chochoca, etc.). Si uno quiere liberarse del estrés, sentir el olor a mar y tierra, estar en contacto con Dios y la naturaleza, sentirse pequeño por la majestuosidad de sus paisajes, ver hermosas aves como los cisnes de cuello negro y el impresionante flemenco, ambos verlos volar es simplemente... indescriptible. Si quiere despertar sus sentidos: ver, sentir, tocar y oler...entonces visite Chiloé.

Estuve en Chiloé el pasado abril. Viaje siguiendo las palabras de un libro, un libro de una chilena: Isabel Allende. Quiero escribirlo para no olvidarlo, desde que llegue no pare de contar lo hermoso que había sido este viaje y mi objetivo se cumple cuando mis amigos me dicen: " ay! quiero ir a Chiloé ahora" Creo que la isla de Chiloé es la ultima joya del sur chileno, vi a su gente,su hospitalidad, su cariño y recibimiento, toman mate como en mi ciudad, las raíces aborígenes asoman por la tierra, no son subterráneas, viven en cada grafitti en cada rostro en cada costumbre. Me sorprendió su sincretismo, su mezcla de cultura colonial, católica y las leyendas y mitos de la zona. En cada relato se hacen presentes personajes como "El trauco","Cai Cai Vilu", "Ten Ten Vilu" y la "Pincoya" Disfrute de su comida típica, de sus hogares a leña, sus mil paisajes y sus cálidas sonrisas. Lo recomiendo una y mil veces. Me enamoré de la isla, según los Chilotes, caí en su hechizo.

Segundo año consecutivo que volvemos al mismo lugar con mi compañera de ruta Paloma. Chiloé siempre nos recibe con los brazos abiertos. Maravillados y aprovechando nuestras vacaciones nos devolvemos a Puerto Varas, lugar que no podemos dejar de pasar para llegar a la hora mágica del Lago de todos los Santos. Ya sumergidos en la magia del sur terminamos en Villarrica para soñar en el Parque Nacional Huerquehue, que nos llena de vida y de nuevos aires para llegar recargados a Santiago.

Es el parque mas completo que e visitado, y esta muy bien cuidado tiene 118.000 hectareas de arboles nativos y animales de la zona que si se esta pendiente en el trayecto se pueden divisar, es un hermoso lugar para hacer tracking que tiene rutas desde 3 horas hasta una semana para los mas experimentados, yo por motivos de tiempo solo pude recorrer una parte pequeña de esta, pero lo que alcance a recorrer me gusto mucho, tambien tiene miradores donde se puede ver panoramicamente todo el parque.. Fue una linda experiencia.

La ciudad de Castro en la Región de Chiloé al sur de Chile es uno de mis rincones favoritos. Conserva un ambiente tan especial que es imposible compararla con cualquier otra. Sus construcciones de madera, iglesias y palafitos son únicas en el mundo, hasta la UNESCO lo ha reconocido como patrimonio de la humanidad y más allá de detalles, la recuerdo como una postal, un espejo en el agua donde se refleja la belleza y su espíritu fantástico. Fue una gran experiencia.

Esta isla tiene un encanto muy especial, su gente es amable y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Se encuentra al sur de Chile y la isla grande cuenta con dos lugares grandes en los cuales se pueden parar: Castro y Ancud. Al rededor de la isla hay otras más pequeñas como Lemuy y Quinchao, las cuales se cruzan en barca. Además hay otros lugares muy hermosos como Chonchi, Dalcahue y el parque nacional Cucao y las iglesias que se encuentran en toda la isla. Recomiendo alquilar un auto si se tienen pocos días y además parar en palafitos que son tradicionales de la isla. Para comer los mercados son los mejores, baratos y pescados frescos; la comida típica es en curanto, chapalele y papa rellena.
