Children's Discovery Museum

If the original 'The Wizard of Oz' movie captivated your imagination like it did millions of others then this is the tourist destination for you. See the place where the life of Judy Garland began. Walk through the home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, where she was raised and spent much of her childhood. The museum is an ode to Judy's life, experiences and movie career- even including musical scores! Memories and moments have been captured from the Wizard of Oz and other classic movies.

Busiest season is the summer, when tourists flock to the lake region in which Grand Rapids is located. Their summer hours are Monday to Saturday from 10 until 5 PM. The winter hours are shorter, but they are still open. You can see them listed on their website.
