Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Vergini

Cosenza è una città ricca di monumenti e chiese, soprattutto se si considera la parte storica della città. E’ proprio qui che sorge la chiesa di Santa Maria delle Vergini, annessa ad un monastero e ad un chiostro. La chiesa ha un’unica navata, presenta una cupola sull’area presbiterale. Nell’altare minore di sinistra l’icona della Madonna col Bambino che risale alla fine del 200, l’altare minore di destra è anch’esso fatto in stucco e legno. Sono passata spesso da qui eppure l’esperienza dell’altra sera è stata la più bella. All’interno della chiesa musica dal vivo, bello sarebbe se capitaste in una di queste occasioni!
