Away from all the tourist hustle and bustle
After spending the morning at Puerto Naos beach, we decided to spend the afternoon at El Charco Verde beach, as we had already seen it on the travel guides and it looked nice and peaceful.
Be careful on this black-sand beach, as a good amount of rocks line the shore, and if there´s big waves, you could end up falling on one of them. But, the water crashing into the rocks on the shore makes for great background music.
I remember the water being relatively calm. It was a little cooler in the nearby Puerto Naos beach, but the water on the West Coast is more warm than on the East.
It´s a very calm beach. You can get some rest and relaxation away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the more touristic places. We got there by bus. The bus stop is very close, but from what we saw there weren´t frequently running busses, and the punctuality left something to be desired.
There´s more than enough space to through your towel down even though it´s a smaller, cozy beach.
We didn´t see any restaurants or bars in the surrounding area.
