30 reviews of Chapultepec Forest

Flyers as an art form

I was really surprised with the diversity of Mexican culture and the importance and history involved, some of these cultures in this case demonstrates that the flyers as a great art of human flight , who showed the act of going down on a rope. It provides a lot of adrenaline.

PD. La entrada es gratuita. This forest is the little green thing left for Mexico City, as the city has grown so much that the green areas have disappeared, but one of the few is the Bosque de Chapultepec, uy years since I had visited him and really pass very pleased to begin the environment is familiar, there are several activities such as Zoo, Museum, Lake, Games, Sweets, Shows Clowns, balloons, and other activities. Ooh I remember that in my childhood, it was the best gift to go to this place to buy some potatoes and walk these paths and perhaps bring food and make a picnic in one of its green areas clear haha ... After the Zoo! Wow! What memories. Oh, but this forest is very old and has lots of history. This vast forest whose name means "grasshopper hill" by the silhouette of the hill, with two plateaus that resemble a grasshopper contains three sections, planned at different times. In the Classic period Teotihuacan was occupied and then, in the Postclassic, by toltecas.En 1325, after the founding of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, the Mexica to Chapultepec considered as sacred and strategic site, guarded by the springs in her womb and that They became water to Tenochtitlan. In 1507 Moctezuma Xocoyotzin built ponds for breeding of exotic fish and to store water, and ordered to plant trees and plants brought from various parts of his vast empire. Finally, in 1521, Cuauhtémoc Chapultepec defended against the onslaught of españoles.Hernán Cortés appropriated Chapultepec and granted the northern portion to Captain Julian Jaramillo, later husband of Malinche.Sin But in 1530 Charles V issued a royal decree in which decreed that the property was Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. And now full of color and joy, besides being the entrance to Chapultepec Castle, a monument of great importance in the history of Mexico. In the Lake Maggiore is practiced by renting paddle boats, and is the monumental fountain. The Forest is open from 5 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday in the 1st section. The 2nd and 3rd sections are open 24 hrs. It is noteworthy that the forest is divided into three sections, so take one and make some delicious vueltesita potatoes!. PD. Admission is free.

It's amazing to be in the forest and the birds sing and feel a bit of chaos away townsman. Well within the forest do not sit or a car and this is really appreciated. However, trees are not only what they will find there, there is a lake, paths, fountains, museums, an amusement park, a fair, a botanical garden, a zoo and a castle that is now the National Museum of History . It is located between Avenues Reform, Constituent, Circuito Interior and Periférico.Y can reach it by metro (subway).

How I wish I had a park cos in my town !!

As in the days of child

People in the middle of a big world

I went with some friends and suddenly I could not help but be amazed by the size and colossal size with which the buildings stand, opposite Lions Gate, surrounded by a large number of trees.
