chapel of the Virgin
The chapel of the Virgin is one of the first chapels that you find at the entrance of the archaeological park of the churches of the Ivanovo region. Built on the rock of the cliffs around Rusenski Lom River, these chapels were excavated in the twelfth century, when the holy patriarch of the Orthodox church of Bulgaria, Joaquí, and the monks, constructed their guild. The chapel of the Virgin is easily accessible for people of limited mobility, having parking spaces below and being only 5 minutes from the road. The churches are accessible, but not in cars, by walking through a circuit before the start back to the parking lot.
