Chapel of the Angustias

Entre las ramas de los frondosos árboles de los [poi=68655]Jardines de las Angustias[/poi] vislumbramos esta iglesia, que aunque su fachada no es demasiado interesante arquitectónicamente hablando, tiene unas bonitas tallas en su interior. La imagen más venerada y por la que los ferrolanos tienen gran devoción es la titular del templo: La Virgen de las Angustias, que preside el altar mayor, con su Hijo en brazos. Es de autor desconocido. En esta iglesia tiene su sede la Cofradía de las Angustias, que fue la promotora de la construcción del templo, ya en el siglo XVIII. En el XIX se le añadió la espadaña.
