Plaza de la Independencia

Panama Central Park is in the center of the colonial city, which is called the Casco Antiguo or San Felipe neighborhood. It is lovely with its fountain in the middle, in a Spanish colonial style. It goes along Avenida Eloy Alfaro, a boardwalk, from which you can enjoy a lovely view of the heavens scratching the financial part of the city. Many Kuna women can be seen selling crafts belonging to the Chibcha tribe, and had to leave to the capital instead of staying in their towns in the Amazon, because the living conditions are very low, and arrive full of hope to gain some money and help their family.
