El 5 de Abril de 2010 sus majestades...
El 5 de Abril de 2010 sus majestades Los Reyes de España celebraron el centenario de la Gran Vía madrileña y para ello inauguraron un monumento en conmemoración de la emblemática y siempre concurrida calle madrileña.
El acto también se celebró en recuerdo del abuelo del Rey (hace 100 años) Alfonso XIII, el cual festejó un 4 de abril de 1910, su inauguración.
El monolito que en este rincón os muestro es un plano cenital en relieve de la Gran Vía.
Está hecho en acero inoxidable y con 2 aleaciones de bronce.
Su creador es Javier Ortega.
Y como podréis imaginar este monolito se convertirá en otra atracción para los miles de turistas que cada año pasean y disfrutan de la calle, probablemente más famosa de Madrid.
The April 5, 2010 Their Majesties the Kings of Spain celebrated the centenary of the Gran Via and it inaugurated a monument in commemoration of the iconic and always busy Madrid street. The event was also held in memory of the grandfather of the King (100 years ago) Alfonso XIII, which celebrated the 4th of April 1910 opening. The monolith that I show in this corner is a raised overhead shot of Gran Via is made of stainless steel and with 2 bronze alloys. Its creator is Javier Ortega. And as you can imagine this monolith will become another attraction for thousands of tourists each year and enjoy walking the street, probably most famous Madrid.
