A Cenote, Home to a Falcon
An impressive Hawk in an ancient tree greets you on the first rung of a wooden staircase leading to the heart of the cenote. On arriving, there are beautiful tall palms that idolize the place. This is just one example of the countless cenotes, or natural wells, that abound in the Yucatan Peninsula. Although you should remember that you can't swim in this cenote. The Xix cenote is within the Hacienda Guadalupe, about 8 minutes from Valladolid in the Yucatan.
