Cawdor is magical name linked (by Shakespeare) with Macbeth. An amazing fairytale castle, it has everything a tourist looks for in Scotland ... history, palpable and visible. Cawdor Castle is not a cold monument, it is a splendid house and the home of the Cawdor family. A 14th century, purpose-built private fortress of the Thanes of Cawdor.
